صولجان أور - جنوب العراق عثر ليونارد وولي على هذا الصولجان في أكبر القبور الملكية في أور. لقد قاد منحدر إلى قاع بئر حوالي 9 م عمقا و على أحد الجوانب غرفة حجرية كانت تملأ أرضية الحفرة بالكامل. كانت هناك أربعة غرف مصنوعة من أنقاض الحجر الكلسي. اللصوص كانوا قد فتحوا فتحة خلال سقف الغرفة الخارجية و المحتويات تم نهبها بالكامل. أجزاء مهشمة صغيرة من عظام البشر و هذا الصولجان هو كل ما تبقى و لا يزال الغرض منه غير معروف على الرغم من أن الخشب الأصلي كان قد تآكل فإن الأجزاء المختلفة للعصا بقيت في مكانها، الجزء العلوي منه يشبه فطر مرصع بالصدف مع زهور حمراء و زرقاء. و تحتها خمس حلقات من رقائق ذهبية تحمل طبعات لتصاميم و نقوش بارزة كما لو إنها أخذت من أختام إسطوانية و لكن مما يدعو للأسف فإن التصاميم لا يمكن تمييزها الآن. و تحت الحلقات الذهبية نرى حلقات من اللازورد. و يلي ذلك حلقات من الفسيفساء المؤلفة من الصدف و اللازورد بشكل مثلثات مفصولة عن بعضها بحلقات من الصدف و الحجر الكلسي الأحمر. لقد تمت إستعادته و إعادة تشكيله عام 1966 المتحف البريطاني - لندن
Scepter From Ur, southern Iraq Leonard Woolley found this scepter in the largest of the graves in the Royal Cemetery at Ur. A slope led to the bottom of a nine-meter shaft and to one side of a stone chamber which filled the entire floor of the pit. There were four chambers made of limestone rubble. Robbers had broken in through the roof of the outer chamber and the contents had been thoroughly plundered. A few fragments of human bones and this scepter remained, its purpose unknown. Although the original wood had decayed the various parts of the staff were still in place. The top end has a mushroom-shaped shell inlaid with a red and blue rosette. Below it five bands of very thin gold foil are impressed with designs in relief as if taken from cylinder seals; the designs unfortunately are no longer recognizable. Between the gold bands are rings of lapis lazuli. Below this are bands of mosaic in shell and lapis lazuli triangles separated by rings of shell and red limestone.
