وجدت علب التجميل الذهبيّة هذه في غرفة في قبر الملكة بو-آبي. الشكل البيضوي للوعائين هو شكل شائع للأواني المعدنيّة. وللوعاء المحزّز عناصر تصميميّة كثيرة مشتركة مع الوعاء المحزّز، وربّما جلبت جميعها كطقم. بينما شكّلت علبة التجميل على شكل صدفة، وكانت مملوءة بطلاء أخضر. والقطع وجدت بحالة ممتازة لأنّ الذهب من المعادن التي لا تتأثّر بمرور الزمن. المادة الخضراء تستعمل كمستحضر تجميل.

Cosmetic Container

These gold containers were found in Queen Puabi's tomb chamber. The oval shape of the two bowls is a common metal vessel form. The fluted bowl shares many design elements with the fluted tumbler, and they may be thought of as a set. The cosmetic container, shaped as a cockleshell, was filled with a green pigment. The pieces are in such good condition because gold is a stable metal. The Green paint was used as cosmetic.
